I met Max long ago when he started eating at my family's restaurant, the Barelas Coffee House. He always made time to talk with my mom, Benita. My word processing co-worker Luella would say, Max! Come back here! as she would have a question about his project, and Max would run out the door. I had the privilege of working with Max at Modrall, and it was never a dull moment working with him. Max was a good man and a good lawyer. Cyndi, your children, your family, may God keep all of you safe in his hands now.

Cyndi, Max and Isabella, my condolences to all of you in the loss of your husband and father. There are no words to express for the loss of someone you have lost so close to all of you. I will keep you all in my prayers that you all find the strength to get you through the heartache. Hold the wonderful memories of your husband and father in your hearts. Take comfort in knowing that now you have a special guardian angel to watch over you.
