Dear Peggy: My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I worked for Ward at Sandia from time to time and he always was a joy and a courteious and gracious human being. And it was always fun to see him at Tanoan after we both retired.

He will be missed.

With Sympathy,
Marie Iverson

Dear Peggy and family:
Home visting my parents and saw the obituary. I remember Mr. Hunnicutt for his kind nature and love of golf. My prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Ward was a dedicated leader and worked hard to help those of us in the line organizations handle our facility issues. It was always a pleasure to be in meetings with him, and have him share his wisdom. He was a man of character. I am sorry that I will not be able to attend his service; I will be thinking of him and the family.

Your dedication to making this world a better place and your selfless service to others will be remembered by the many lives you touched. You were a Southern gentleman and we were so fortunate to have you in our life. Our deepest sympathy extended to your "beautiful bride" Peggy, your son’s, and your family.

A life well lived, a man of honor, we will miss you Ward!

Thanks for your service to our country.
“Day is Done” are the first words of "Taps"
Know you have ended your days
with a job “well done”
Know too, I lower my mental flag to half staff
in your memory this day.
Know also that a free and grateful nation says,
“Rest in Peace serviceman”
Know ‘All is well, safely rest, God is nigh’
